Puma Hotels plc - planning consent secured
The Board of The Hotel Corporation plc, whose principal asset is a 49.9% stake in Puma Hotels plc ("Puma Hotels"), announces that it has been informed by Puma Hotels that a planning permission has been secured at the Barceló Old Ship Hotel in Brighton.

Puma Hotels plc has secured planning consent from Brighton & Hove City Council for the development of a significant extension to the Barceló Brighton Old Ship Hotel, owned by Puma Hotels. The consent was unanimously approved by the Council and is subject only to the execution of a section 106 agreement.
This 4 star hotel currently has 154 rooms. The new consent provides for the addition of 42 bedrooms, the creation of 248 sq m of modern conference facilities, a restaurant/bar with street frontage and revised car parking facilities.
