The property finance division offers investors access to secured, first-charge loans on UK real estate across a range of sectors. The platform supports professional borrowers throughout the lifecycle of property development via three principal offerings: pre-development bridge loans, development finance and development exit loans. In 2018, Puma Investments agreed an institutional funding line of up to £200 million from funds advised by RoundShield Partners LLP and affiliates for deployment in the UK. Puma Property Finance has deployed over £850 million in real estate loans and construction projects since inception and we continue to grow our market share, in particular by building strong relationships with developers seeking loans of between £5 million and £50 million.
The private equity division offers investors access to tax-efficient private equity strategies through our long-standing Venture Capital Trust (VCT) and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) offerings. The platform supports established, scale-up companies across the UK and operates with a sector-agnostic investment approach. Since inception, we have launched 14 Puma VCTs. Our latest offers, Puma VCT 13, Puma Alpha VCT and Puma Alpha EIS, focus on supporting UK SMEs with growth capital between £2 million and £10 million.
The Puma Listed Equities division offers investors access to a discretionary equity portfolio service focusing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The portfolio is led by a highly experienced fund manager, Stuart Rollason, and seeks to mitigate Inheritance Tax by investing in a carefully selected portfolio of AIM shares. The service has a successful seven-year track record, during which time it has achieved a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 10.39% and significantly outperformed the FTSE AIM All Share Index by +40.86% over the same period, as at the end of Q2 2021.
Today, Shore Capital Asset Management advises Puma Brandenburg and Brandenburg Realty, both of which are real estate investment vehicles seeking to generate strong returns for their investors. Having initially focused on Germany, these vehicles have a wide mandate to deploy capital. Real estate investment remains the core activity and the division benefits from a strong presence in Berlin and London.
