Asset Management

We are an experienced asset manager with over £1 billion under management. With offices across the UK and Germany, we have been managing alternative assets since 1996 when we launched our first fund.

UK asset management

Puma Investments, our UK asset management business, is an award-winning adviser, fund manager and portfolio manager active across property finance, private equity and listed equities.

The business comprises three main divisions:

Puma Property Finance

The property finance division offers investors access to secured, first-charge loans on UK real estate across a range of sectors. The platform supports professional borrowers throughout the lifecycle of property development via three principal offerings: pre-development bridge loans, development finance and development exit loans. In 2018, Puma Investments agreed an institutional funding line of up to £200 million from funds advised by RoundShield Partners LLP and affiliates for deployment in the UK. Puma Property Finance has deployed over £600 million in real estate loans and construction projects since inception and we continue to grow our market share, in particular by building strong relationships with developers seeking loans of between £3 million and £30 million.

Puma Private Equity

The private equity division offers investors access to tax-efficient private equity strategies through our long-standing Venture Capital Trust (VCT) and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) offerings. The platform supports established, scale-up companies across the UK and operates with a sector-agnostic investment approach. Since inception, we have launched 14 Puma VCTs. Our latest offers, Puma Alpha VCT and Puma Alpha EIS, focus on supporting UK SMEs with growth capital between £2 million and £10 million.

Puma Listed Equities

The Puma Listed Equities division offers investors access to a discretionary equity portfolio service focusing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The portfolio is led by a highly experienced fund manager, Justin Waine, and seeks to mitigate Inheritance Tax by investing in a carefully selected portfolio of AIM shares. The service has a successful five-year track record, during which time it has achieved a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 9.47%, significantly outperforming the FTSE AIM All Share Index by +42.51% over the same period, as at the end of 2019.
