Shore Capital has long deployed its balance sheet to seed funds being launched. This is in keeping with our entrepreneurial culture and focus on alignment with clients’ interests: we only launch products in which we as a house have complete conviction.
In parallel, principal finance investments into non-fund transactions has become an active arm of our business, and we have considerable cash resources ready to deploy. We are also ideally positioned to become partners on interesting transactions, adding our significant expertise in in structuring and arrangement, and sourcing equity from our investor base or investing ourselves as JV partners.
Examples of past principal finance investments include:
- Acquisition of Jellyworks in 2000
- Seed Finance of Puma Brandenburg in 2006 and acquisition of Puma Brandenbrug in 2009
- Acquisition of controlling interest in Spectrum in 2011
